Rishfloc Range of polymers & copolymers are made from Acrylamide. These are water soluble polyelectrolytes and have very high molecular weights. The range includes Anionic, Nonionic and Cationic polymers in powder, emulsion as well as in solution form.
Flocculation is the agglomeration of tiny particles into large units.
It therefore, finds its applications in many metallurgical applications wherein solid liquid separation is desired, and helps in achieving clear supernatant, results in fast settling and increases capacity of clarifiers apart from noticeable cost reduction. Applications include clarification of water containing suspended solids from Gas cleaning plants of Blast furnace and steel mills, electroplating plant, pickling unit and various other areas.
EAGLE DC is a wetting and penetrating agent for use in dust control and suppression. It is a completely water soluble blend of organic surfactants and penetrants. A small amount of Eagle DC added to water greatly increases its ability to wet dust, airborne particles, soil, and almost all solid surfaces. EAGLE DC acts by reducing surface tension so that sprays of water effectively penetrate dust and water droplets have a powerfully enhanced capacity for scavenging airborne particles.
EAGLE DC is biodegradable, has minimal environmental impact and presents no health hazard during proper use.
Emulsions may be broken by chemical, electrolytic or physical methods. In breaking emulsions the stabilizing factors must be neutralized to allow the emulsified droplets to coalesce. The accumulated electric charges on the emulsified oil droplets are neutralized by introducing a charge opposite to that of droplet. Chemical emulsion breakers/deoilers provide this opposite charge for neutralization.
Organic deoilers developed by Rishabh are extremely effective emulsion breaking agents, giving more consistent results and produce a better effluent quality than inorganic coagulants.
Presently conventional coagulants (i.e. salts of Aluminium or Iron) are used to remove turbidity in water. These pose problems of carry over finely divided flocs of aluminum hydroxide or ferric hydroxide into the clarified water and also produce bulky sludge having a high water content.
During monsoon season when turbidity suddenly increases, numerous problems are faced in treatment of water with conventional chemicals e.g. Alum and Lime.
Rishlyte range of coagulants for industrial raw water treatment consists of 'nontoxic' cationic polymers which replace inorganic coagulants (viz Alum, lime, Ferric salts) and also reduce cost of treatment. Numerous other benefits include -
a) Reduction in sludge volume and desludge frequency.
b) Reduction in Aluminium ion carryover which is a health hazard.
c) Reduced load on DM plant and negligible drop in pH of treated water.
d) Reduction in corrosion in alum addition pipeline and pump.
e) Automated dosing & controlling of turbidity and suspended solids in plants
f) Savings in labour and electricity costs
g) Reduced requirement for storage space
